World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) 2021

World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) is a global, annual campaign to raise awareness and galvanize action on themes related to breastfeeding. Evolution of the WBW Campaign is celebrated every 1-7 August in commemorating the 1990 Innocenti Declaration. World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) coordinates the global World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) campaign to inform, anchor, engage and galvanize action on breastfeeding and related issues. Since 2016, the WBW campaign has been aligned to United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

IBFAN coordinates WBW campaigns of its regional networks/groups and individual members. It also compiles and shares regional reports.  At country level, IBFAN collaborates with National Governments relevant Civil Society Organizations (CSO)s, NGO’s and developmental partners
